Andy Seuss certainly hit some luck with the third straight win in a row during the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour championship this past Sunday at the G-Oil 150 at Southern National Motorsports Park.
Seuss snagged wins at Caraway Speedway in Asheboro, NC, on September 9th and September 28th. Before the month of September, Seuss was going on almost a year without winning. This past weekend at Southern National marked the 15th win of the 26-year-old’s career.
Coming in second was George Brunnhoelzl III who extended his lead by 32 points over Kyle Ebersole who landed fourth place with just one race remaining. The season finale will be held on Thursday, October 10th at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Burt Myers held down third place, followed by Ebersole and the rookie, Luke Fleming.
The race was supposed to be held on Sept. 21st but due to rain, it was pushed to Saturday. Burt Myers won the Coors Light Pole Award just prior to the postponement.
Brunnhoelzl could almost take Seuss in the corners, but Seuss would prevail and leave him in the dust during the straightaways. The race was a close one with Seuss holding off Brunnhoelzl by a half car-length at the finish line.
