Miller Lite and Ford Motor Company are teaming up to end drunk driving with the launch of a summer sweepstakes aimed at rewarding consumers who show responsibility by pledging to abstain from driving drunk. Consumers who take the pledge to be a designated driver (or take public transportation) will be given the opportunity to enter to win a 2013 Ford Fusion SE. To sweeten the deal, the Fusion will be personally delivered by the reigning Sprint Cup champion, Mr. Brad Keselowski himself – driver of the Miller Lite No. 2 Blue Deuce Ford Fusion.
“Since Miller Lite teamed with NASCAR to bring responsibility to the track, thousands of fans have pledged to never drive drunk, and now we’re rewarding them in a big way,” said Ryan Reis, Senior Director of Brand Marketing for Miller Lite. “We encourage fans to plan ahead for their Miller Time by designating a driver. We are excited to reward one lucky fan with a brand new Ford Fusion SE.”
The sweepstakes, which began on June 27 and runs until November 17, can be entered by logging on to www.MillerLiteResponsibility.com and providing your name to take the pledge, which simply states, "I pledge to always use a designated driver or take a cab, bus or train. I hold the key to responsibility."
One lucky winner will be announced at the end of the NASCAR Chase for the Sprint Cup and the car will be prized in early December.
"We are proud to partner with Miller Lite to help reward a responsible driver with a Ford Fusion SE,” said Tim Duerr, Motorsports Marketing Manager for Ford Racing. “Responsibility has always been a top priority for Ford and we look forward to giving the winner a great driving experience with the help of the sport’s best driver.”
To win prizes on race day, fans can visit the Miller Lite designated driver booths at sponsored tracks throughout the rest of the season in partnership with TEAM Coalition.
