It is Thursday and a day most around the country would not consider a race day, but not in Wisconsin. Most any day of the week could be a race day.
This track is situated right in front of a large state park and an acre of the track was once a part of that park. Ron and Scott Wimmer took over this track a few years ago and run it to perfection.
SPS is an ASA Member track and while we were there, the Mid-American Series cars were on one of their stops in that touring series of Sportsman class cars.
It was quite hot that day with upwards of 94 degree temps and I think back home in Florida it was only 84! We came north to warm up. But the whole experience was great and we'll have lots to talk about in our upcoming article in CT.
