The program had to move along, rain was forecast for later on. So, in excellent fashion, Rex Lejune, track manager, made sure the show stayed on schedule.
The track is located inside a horse track at the fairgrounds and the stands are a bit of a distance from the race track, but the viewing was excellent.
We saw great racing in the sprint 305 and 410 classes and the super late models where track promoter John Bores battled his son, Mike in side by side action.
The show concluded right at 10:00 and the rains came just ten minutes later. Now that's the way to put on a racing event.
