We were pleasantly surprised at our welcome to Crossville Raceway USA. All of the people there were great, and the racing was even better...
Buddy Sandy Sheehan, owners and operators of Crossville, have really tried to build this track up. In among a handful of tracks that have had to close in recent years, this one is still strong.
The track surface was prepared as well, or better, than most and although it went black slick, a common result of racing on dirt, it never rutted.
We saw some great action, actually some of the best outright racing I've ever seen with the 4 cylinder division. The battle for the lead lasted some ten laps or more and resulted in a side-by-side finish.
And the late model show proved something we have been preaching for years in CT. Look for details in coming issues.
