I am doing lots of traveling in the Circle Track motorhome for this Tour. I try to get to each stop as efficiently as possible, but sometimes that bites me......
On my way to Batesville, AR for the $40,000 to win Topless 100 dirt late model race, I decided to take a more direct route and one that put me near a needed fuel stop on I-55. That path led to two very old, high, long and narrow bridges over the Ohio and then the Mississippi rivers in rapid succession.
As I approached the first bridge, one that has a 20 foot width, period, no more, I saw a couple of semi's coming at me. Those were not the only ones I would have to pass before this ride was over.
I really thought I was going to lose my mirror, again. But with inches to spare, we made it over both almost mile long spans without incident. But if anyone who has crossed the highway 60/62 bridges near Cairo, KY, in a motorhome passing semi's says they weren't sweating bullets, they are liars for sure.
