It's a perfect day at Hickory Motor Speedway and the racing is about to begin. The USARacing series is here running the WIX Filters 250, along with four other touring series.
Coincedintally, WIX Filters is a partner with our major Tour sponsor, AMSOIL. When I grabbed my AMSOIL jacket before heading out to watch the race, I noticed that the WIX logo was stitched into the arm.
Not only do we get to see the highly competitive USARacing drivers compete in the WIX Filters 250, but also the USAC Ford Focus Midgets, the Allison Legacy Series, the ISCAR ASA Series and asphalt modifieds.
As we cruised the pits, we ran into lots of friends, including former writer for CT, John Gibson who is having a great year and now sits in second place in points in the USARacing series.
Bobby Allison himself is here supporting his namesake Legacy series.
A driver of note in that series is Casey Hillenburg, son of noted driver Andy Hillenburg who now owns the Rockingham Speedway.
