One thing Boman Gray had to their advantage was a Big Screen TV and ultra-nice facilities, but there was more...
When the drivers were announced, their photos were shown on the large tv screen located on the field house at the end of the stadium. It was here that sponsors logos and information could be shown too.
And throughout the event, advertisements about the sponsors and other area companies played like on the radio. The nice thing about it was it wasn't obtrusive. The "big game" atmosphere almost invited this kind of promotion.
If I can say anything positive about the way this race was promoted, it would be that every angle was utilized without going overboard. And I think all of the many support companies got their moneys worth. Now isn't that the way it should be.
Each race weekend of the season has a major sponsor, some company who would benefit from the large number of people gathered here. I guess it's in the numbers. And as we've said before, the numbers were there.
Other promoters take note. Get the people there any way you can. Then build around those numbers.
