On making the rounds back and forth to the pits at Hickory this past weekend, we noticed one of the track workers studying hard. The "text book", none other than an issue of CT magazine and it was the sprint car issue, how appropriate.
On this AMSOIL sponsored Tour through the Southeast US, we talk to many racers and have learned that most all of them regularly read either the printed publication that they can hold in their hand and pass around, or go to the website, CircleTrack.com.
When I ask them the "do you read..."question, I always get an enthusiastic positive response. And I like that.
Being a part of an effort to help racers race more successfully is, for me, very gratifying. I'm not really an "in your face" personality and I usually shy away from bothering racers while they are racing.
But when I do make contact, it's always good. I think it means that editor Rob and I have done our job showing the racing community that we are one with them. We care about them and in return, they really do care about CT. It's all good.
