The AMSOIL Great American Circle Track Tour 2010 got off to a great start at the inaugural F.A.S.T. race at Inverness, FL this past weekend. Guess who was there...
In attendance was RJ Scott, managing partner of CRA, and Mr. Bill Desmond, well known announcer, promoter and a person involved in short track racing for many years agreed to be the announcer for this historic race.
There were 26 cars that qualified for the main event where the top six drew pills for the starting order. Wayne Anderson, one of the developers of the series qualified first, but in the pre-race ceremony, agreed to start last for a chance at an extra $500 to win.
Steve Dorer, second place quaifier also took the deal and moved to the rear. It was an exciting race with Wayne moving up through traffic and managing to take the lead and win. All in all a very encouraging start to a novel and promising series.
