Today, our man Bob Bolles is at Virginia International Raceway – yes the road course nestled in southern Virginia near Danville. Now you might ask yourself why is the Senior Tech Editor of Circle Track magazine at a road course during a closed test for the Rolex Grand Am Series. Well, to be perfectly honest we here at Circle Track keep our finger on the pulse of all forms of motorsports; road racing, drag racing and occasionally off road racing. It is how we investigate and learn about new technologies that could filter across varied types of motorsports and ultimately end up benefiting you the oval track racer. Couple that with the fact that, believe it or not, 10% of Circle Track subscribers take part in road racing exclusively and it makes sense for Bob to be at this test. Well, Bob just sent us an email with a pair of photos taken with his Blackberry. That is the new Stevenson Motorsports Camaro driven by David Donahue. The car had its maiden run on October 6 and the team is back testing today. Now wouldn't that car look cool on a circle track?
