If you think your series or track is looking slim on entries, we only need to look at the top series to see a similiar problem. I checked the current stats on how many teams started every race in several series and the results are interesting. Here goes...
In the Sprint Cup Series, only 33 drivers started every race. In the Nationwide Series, 16 drivers started all races and only 17 in the Camping World Truck Series.
In regional racing action, the Camping World East series had 12 drivers SER, the Whelen Modified South series had 12 SER and contrary to the trend, the Whelen Modifieds up north had a whopping 29 drivers start every race, by far the most successful of all of the series I checked.
The ASA Touring series is very strong in the Midwest Tour attendance, but showed only 10 drivers in the NW Tour made every race and only 9 drivers in the NW Sprint cars made every race. What all of this means is that we need to find a way to jump start short track racing to get things going again. We here at Circle Track have some ideas and will be experimenting with those in the near future. If you have any ideas, please share them with us..
