I just received an email asking about our Dirt Late Model project car. This was interesting because we rarely get questions from readers about how our project cars are doing...why?
Is it because we do a good job at our project coverage? Or, could it be that few will pick up a keyboard and write? I'm not quite sure, but we do wonder how all of this goes over with the readers.
In this case, this person was asking why we didn't have more about the progress of the car and why we were buying a new Mastersbilt chassis and making that move over using the swing arm Rayburn car.
We had decided that we needed a new chassis, period. The old one was, well old. Even the car builders will tell you that the frames get fatigued and old metal hides cracks and stresses. To be on the safe side, we are making this change. As for the type of chassis, we thought it best to go with the four-bar and report on how we were going to make it work too. Stay tuned.
