We have one race under our belts and are on the way to South Georgia Motorsports Park. The saga continues....
We had a decent car at the Concord race and the teams new crew chief, Justin Lages, tuned on the setup like a pro. Between John and him, they were able to race with a pretty decent package.
Now we are off to GMPP on Saturday and the crew has prepared the car. This is a flat and fairly slick track with a turn 2 wall that jumps out at you when you least expect it. So, the car must turn well. Well, our Steve Leavitt race car does just that. Most of our fixes have been tighening the car because this car turns so well and we are not used to running a car this well designed from the git-go.
I have traditionally had to cut up most brands of race cars, some a little and some a lot. But not this time. Stay tuned and see how we do. And look for a detailed technical analysis on the Concord race in a coming issue of CT.
