Big time racing is in store for the Hooters Pro Cup drivers and teams. The November 1st race at the one mile long Rock promises to be one of the best all season. And I plan on going.
I used to try to attend at least two or three Hooters Pro Cup races a year, usually the Lakeland (now defunct) starter along with Myrtle Beach and sometimes Bristol. With all of the work we do here at CT, it is getting harder and harder to spread ourselves that thin. We need to keep up with both dirt and asphalt racing, regional racing, stock car - modified - sprint car racing, and all of the tech that goes with each.
That being said, I do plan on going to the final Championship race for the Hooters series at Rockingham on November 1st. I look forward to seeing some of my favorite racing buddies - Jon Craig and crew, Billy Hess, Steve Leavitt, Bobby Gill, Jay Fogleman and our very own, John Gibson. Andy Hillenburg has made this a family affair by charging just $10 for admission with kids free. It'll be a blast. See you there.
