O.K. so I got this press release this morning, it is one of about 200 that I receive every day, but...
this one caught my eye. Since I'm always bashing promoters as being a big problem within our sport (not all mind you but quite a few) I'm always on the look out for somebody who is doing something smart! Anyway the press release said that for the upcoming Hooters Pro Cup race at Rockingham Speedway in North Carolina kids under under 12 will be admitted free with a paid adult. Practice starts on Friday Oct 31 with tickets for adults at $10, race tickets are $25. Camping outside the track on speedway grounds is free while a reserved Thunder Alley spot along the backstretch is $100.
Here's my point Andy Hillenburg's ticket pricing is makes it a mere $50 to take a family of four to see some great racing action. The last MINOR league league baseball game I took my family to I dropped over $80 and that was before food!
Kudos to The Rock for delivering some affordable family fun!
