Drive Line 100 June 28 Norway Speedway 4:30 pm Racing Greats Gene Coleman and Fran Prestay along with Mike Bellisle and Craig Vanenkevort have put together a very unique race for the fans and drivers alike. The 100 lap super late model feature will have cars from 3 or more states. The race will be one of the first run under this new format as all drivers will get paid the same for every lap they race other than the leader will get bonus money. The drivers will each get paid 7.50 per lap. The drivers are very high on this new format and think it is neat as to have them all have a chance to get at least $750.00 for running all 100 laps. But the big thing is the winner will be the 1st Drive Line 100 Feature Winner and his name will go down in history. Mr. Coleman and Mr. Prestay are both in the racing industry and this is a way to pay back the support the drivers have given to them over the years. Mr. Coleman's Coleman Racing Products is one of the largest racing parts suppliers in the USA. Mr. Prestay's Five Star Racing Bodies is the largest racing body producer in the USA. They have been working on this idea for over some time and have made the commitment to do it and at Norway Speedway. Norway Speedway VP Bob Menor said he is very happy to have this huge event at Norway. Bob states "this will be a great event for our speedway and our local drivers and racers from other tracks not also to forget what it will do for the local economy here in the great U.P. of Michigan. Norway speedway is very much behind this event and hope it will be a big success and will be run every year from now on. It has taken a year of planning and now it is ready to happen said Menor. The other big thing will be the 50 lap Power House 50 by North Honda Motorsports for the people that do not qualify into the main event. Mike Bellisle says this will help him get some product awareness and help him support his favorite sport auto racing. Mike has been a sponsor of Norway Speedway for years and continues his support threw this event. Craig Vanenkevort has been a race car fan for years and his Wendricks Truss Co. has sponsored cars at Norway for years. Craig is the PR guy for this event with his company Union Station Motorsports as the name behind the promotions of this event. Mark your calendars for the June 28th event and be there to get your favorite seat at 4:30 Saturday. Open practice will be on Friday from 4 to 8 pm.
