Flat Rock and Toledo Speedway management, as announced last week, has revived the ARCA 4 Cylinder race car rental program for the upcoming 2008 season.
And now the car will be made available for 10 laps during the scheduled practice sessions at both tracks for just $50 per 10 lap run.
The practice session dates are Saturday, April 19, Wednesday April 23, and Wednesdays May 21 and June 18. Toledo’s date is Sunday, April 20.
“Several inquiries have already been made in regard to having the car available for the practice sessions,” noted Ron Drager, promoter of the 2 facilities. “The 10 lap session will be a great way for someone to get the feel of running on the track at speed and may give a person the ambition to build a car and be a part of our 4 Cylinder division.” Drivers will be required to purchase a pit pass at the practice they plan to attend.
The car will rent for $300 for each racing event. The driver is recommended to provide his or hers own personal safety equipment per ARCA rules. However, these items can be provided by the tracks at the driver’s request. ARCA members will have the pit pass fee included in their rental fee; non-members will be required to purchase a $30 pit credential for the day of their race.
Bookings will be taken on a first-come, first-serve basis after January 1. Interested parties should call the Toledo track office at 419-727-1100. The Flat Rock track office is closed for the season.
