Jeff Gordon to Unveil "America Supports You" Car for Coca-Cola 600. New paint scheme to be unveiled May 8 in Charlotte
Washington, DC - On May 8, NASCAR will kick off its nationwide "American
Heroes Memorial Day Tribute" at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Charlotte,
N.C., in honor of members of the U.S. Armed Services. NASCAR drivers
will join forces to unveil 10 freshly painted military-themed cars for
the Coca-Cola 600, including Jeff Gordon's newly painted No. 24 "America
Supports You," DuPont Chevrolet.
The "American Heroes" celebration which will be held Memorial Day
weekend, culminating with the Coca-Cola 600 race on Sunday, May 27 at
Lowe's Motor Speedway. Gordon said he's looking forward to Memorial Day
weekend when he will show his support for the troops in a very special
way during the Coca-Cola 600 in Charlotte. Coincidentally, Jeff
Gordon's first career NASCAR victory was at this same race in 1996.
About the "America Supports You" No. 24 DuPont Chevrolet:
